This is a painting based on a photo of an antique door at my sister’s place in Santa Fe. The morning sunlight illuminates the wood in such a way that the tree’s memories seem to be emerging. The otherworldly light creates a magical, almost mystical feel to this ancient wood, as if its secrets were just waiting to be unlocked. 

Ce tableau est basé sur une photo d’une porte antique chez ma sœur à Santa Fe. La lumière du matin illumine le bois de sorte que les souvenirs de l’arbre semblent faire surface. Le jeu de la lumière surnaturelle sur ce bois ancien crée une ambiance magique, presque mystique, comme si ses secrets ne demandaient pas mieux que d’être révélés.
